Luskentyre image inspires an adventure

'Post Sunset over Luskentyre Beach'

Last Monday, I received an alert from the website, informing me that an order needed to be fulfilled. It was 'Post sunset over Luskentyre Beach' - on the Isle of Harris. A very special place.

Ordinarily, if I'm fulfilling the order, I would put a handwritten 'thank you' note in with the order. However, a third party was fulfilling this order so I sent an email of thanks to the customer.

This then started an email exchange about all things Outer Hebrides, Isle of Harris & Lewis, the QE2 and general 'stuff'. 

By the end of the week, the customer (who lives in Suffolk on the East Coast) informed me that he had gone and booked flights to Stornoway and a B&B near Luskentyre for a week in 2026!

I love the randomness, the connection, the discussion and the fact that this image inspired a customer to book an adventure to somewhere they have never been.

Every image tells a story and puts a smile on someone's wall. 

It has more than made my weekend - thank you for making me smile and enjoy the adventure.
